National Junior Circuit 2006 ( Perak, Ipoh 5/12- 8/12)
This is the Third Junior circuit this year and of course the last, but this is the first I’ve participated ever! The KL team is as lively as ever.. Hehe.. We set off from KLGCC in the morning of 5/12.. It was a slow 2 and a half hours bus ride there.. Kinda boring really.. And it was worse without our one and only Amir.. Hehe.. Goin bk to Ipoh brought bk lots of memories for me. Bittersweet memories..
We are stayin in the Asrama MSN Perak or Hostel for athletes..I think.. Hehe.. MSN means Majlis Sukan Negara, really lazy to translate tat.. Hahah.. But in a dorm that can hold over 50 athletes is where we will be spending 3 nights..it’s all double decker bunks and so I chose the top one immediately. Feels cooler.. Haha.. We settled down and the living condition there is not bad at all really.. Hehe. No complaints.. Most of my friends said that the previous Junior Circuit in Malacca was far worse!! Hehe.. Poor them..
We walked out to the famous food court outside the stadium for lunch before heading bk for some training. I m so in need of trainin.. Hv not had one for 6 months plus now, since SUKMA.. Hehe.. Partly cause it’s really costly.. The first night there was terrible!! It was so cold!! And my coach slept under my bed and he snores really really loud!! So it was really hard for me to sleep. I did eventually sleep but by then it was already 530!!! I was pretty fucked up tat night.. N the whole of nx day I had no mood at all. I wanted to go home n I din wanna stay there n fence. I just lost all the mood I had.. It was also due to something else too.. But.. I tot to myself.. Y shud I be down because of tat?? So I cheered up by not thinking that I’m in ipoh but instead just another fencing competition..I really enjoyed my time wif the kids.. Oh before forget.. You cant possibly imagine the things I had to go through with the kids.. Though they arent really kids, I jz wanna call them tat.. Haha. They are fencers too.. When I wanted to take a nap, I was awaken by a few of them making loud noises n I saw them acting n my other fwen filming, they did short magic clips like ‘Magical Nipple’- where they rub two cards on two diff nipples n after tat they switch places, ‘Magical Armpit’ - where they put a broken sword into their armpits n they pull it out its BRAND NEW!!! Swt.. And ‘ The Naked Bandit!’ I dunno wat this is about.. But I saw one of them askin another person who he is and he replied ‘ I’m the naked bandit’ while rubbing his nipples.. Haha.. Kids nowadays.. Wats wrong with them? Hehe.. But they are still so amusing!! I really got along with a few of them.. On the first night there, jess broke her slippers so I accompanied her to get her a new pair of slippers from ipoh parade.. We search desperately for a cab n she kept whining bout y is there no cab and bla bla bla..
On the 6/12 is the UNDER-15 category so I supported my teammates.. And that day, we ( Wilayah Persekutuan ) won 2 Bronzes.. And on this day, Amir, alex and Howard came to join the team, they came here wif Auntie Kar’s car.. Hehe.. She is a mother of one of the fencers, Athia and Dhania.. They are young but good!! And they jz started!! Haha.. Mr. Mok sure coached them well..

On the 7/12 is the UNDER-17 category and again I supported my teammates, screaming and cheering them on and we manage to win a Gold.. Yay!!
On the 8/12 is MY EVENT DATE!! Jeng jeng… heart pounds like it always does, visits to the toilet as I always do.. Haha.. This is how the event times are scheduled..

Today, Amir and Howard fencing Epee, whereas Alex and I will be fencing Sabre.. Ok.. Skip skip skip.. At the end I got a Bronze and Amir got Gold!! Yay!!! So happy for the both of us and the KL team!! Hehe.. My first medal.. Though I din do much.. Cz there was little saberists there to challenge for the medal.. Hehe.. I’m so joyous.. I caught a few videos of the different kinds of fencing like foil, epee and sabre to let those who are not familiar with this sport understand better..
EPEE FENCING..
this is amir in the semi.. u hafta score 15 to win.. look closely n u can see that he actually scored on the opponents toe..in epee u can score at any part of the body..accuracy is a must!!
FOIL FENCING..
in foil, the target area is only the torso area
SABRE FENCING..
in sabre, the target area for this weapon is anywher above the waist.. and in sabre it is faster than the rest..speed is a must!!! this is the under-17 finals
