Cherno Fishing Trip (23/9 - 24/9)
A very last minute decision, the call came in around 11 in the morning when I was happily playing my FIFA2006 football manager when I mom came n told me that dad has an empty spot on a boat and asked if I wanted to accompany him there.. It took me 2 minutes or so to say yes cause I was busy playin the game.. Haha.. Oh btw, if u r wondering wat boat, it’s a small bout my dad n uncle bought to go fishing with.. And yes, he asked me to go accompany him go fishing.. And I said it was last minute cause we are set to leave at 2 that day.. Haha. I packed my bag, while playing football of course.. Haha..

And I waited for dad to come home from golf. He got bk, had a shower n slept while I loaded everything into the car and waited till 2 to wake my dad up.. We left after he had a quick lunch n I drove a little on the way there.. It took us around 3 hours to get there cz our friend’s car (uncle mike) has a boat on the roof so we had to drove slow.. He is the same guy that we went fishing in taman negara with. He is a very humorous chap wif a very big desire for adventure. And he has a soft spot too.. He loves his kids very much.. Treats them all equally and he talks to them very sweetly.. He does so to me too.. Haha.. I like it.. My dad never does tat to me.. BUT he’s still my dad.. N I love me.. Haha.. Tats 90% y I decided to go, to spend time wif my dad cz he’s been out station a lot lately and I dun see him a lot..
So we reached there around 5 and we waited and waited until 9 something.. I was so pissed.. Haih.. Dad n I were getting very frustrated cz couldn’t get to fish today and when we were told tat we couldn’t do so today due to pythons in the area.. Sigh.. When uncle mike’s friends arrived around 1030, it’s the perfect timing for them because they are going boar hunting.. So brought 2 shotguns and I couldn’t resist and I held one.. Haha.. Power to kill in your hands.. Hmm.. Felt great.. They left with uncle Mike’s 4x4 hilux..
We didn’t have a place to stay that night so uncle Mike’s friend knows a friend where we can stay at his place, he turns out to be a big shot Indian gangster with respect written all over his forehead.. He is a very friendly guy too.. He speaks canto and yes, better than me.. Haha.. He has a katana in his house!! Had a look at it and its damn sharp..we planned to sleep on the floor..he told us this story where someone he took into his house to care for him but at the end he ended up stealing rm3000 of belongings from that Indian gangster and so the gangster hired someone for rm8000 and a few weeks to find him and once he did, the mercenary dragged that thief bk to his house unrecognizable because his face was too swollen and bloody.. Haha…coolness
Dad and i were still very eager to fish so we asked someone and we were told tat we can go fish at the Pahang river and so we did.. But it was only, uncle David, dad and I cz uncle Mike was too tired and he wasn’t feeling well.. We used live baits (small fishes) to fish.. And in total I killed around 6 with my bare hands.. We fished till around 2 something in pitch black.. We weren’t really close to getting any.. But I THINK I was real close.. I THINK I hooked a fish but my line broke, and I actually saw the fish’s head. Darn pissed.. The hunters came roaring back around 430 with 2 freshly killed 50kg boars at the back of their truck with their heads chopped off..I woke up n had a looksie at it..they were quite disappointed cz they could hv had more.. I dun mind seeing dead stuff.. I just cant stand killing something..

The next day we woke up around 630 n got ready, we were suppose to wait for this malay guy tat was suppose to show us the way.. But he made us wait for 4 hours ytd n he still be sleeping in the morning so we didn’t wanna wait stupidly for him and luckily my dad asked someone tat noes how to go so we left without him.. We went to a pond and started fishing for god knows what fish.. We rowed the boat around the pond casting live baits, frogs this time around.. I killed 4 with my bare hands.. Haih.. I prefer killing fish cz the way we had to hook it is absolutely grotesque!! Haih.. I hafta say this if not I might forget n my kids can read this next time because I doubt that they will have the privilege to do so next time.. How will they with ppl mass killing the fishes, pollution, global warming and all the usual shit happening around.. People too ignorant to understand what is goin on with our eco-system.. Haih.. Ok so this is how it has to be done, the frogs are in a bag and u hafta choose one to kill.. This is the hard part.. Then u hafta flick their heads real hard till they are dazed, then take it out of the bag. Next, you hafta take the blunt end of a safety pin like thing and poke through from beneath the jaw till it goes through the head and then u clip it, sometimes the pin comes throught the eye, or sometimes the nose, the frog is still motionless yet alive.. Then, there will be a hook few cm below the pin and u use that to thrust into the leg of the frog up to the tummy.so that the fishes wont see the hook.. High.. Im a murderer!! I remember there was once I when I was hooking the leg, the muscles kept shivering!! Sigh.. Im a sinner..
After being under the blistering hot sun for hours, we decided to give up.. Unsuccessful, but that’s the thing about fishing, one has to be dead patient!! Sometimes u win and sometimes u lose, it’s a small price to pay compared to a fish, where they will lose their lives if you lose..so im not gonna complain.. Haha..
I know that my dad din sleep as much as I did last night so I know that he is very very sleepy cz im very sleep.. Haha.. So I took the wheels and I din tell him tat im very tired.. Haha.. I drove a total of 5 hours that day.. Whoah.. Amazing man.. Thank goodness nothing happened.. My dad slept most of the way bk.. And I would like to make a shoutout.. Thank you zoe for msgin me to keep me awake.. Though it was only 4 msgs or so b4 my phone ran of out batt.. Haha.. But it helped..
Once I got home I still had to send the car for a wash cz its really dirty!! Mud all over the place, outside and inside.. Really did put it to its use its 4x4 capabilities this time around.. Haha.. There was a party that night in uncle Mike’s house, a birthday party for uncle Jimmy, another fishing buddy.. He turned 51!! And there they planned for another fishing trip.. There is one this weekend that iv not decided yet.. Should I go for a one day sea fishing trip without my dad or a 2nights 3days camping + fishing by the riverside with my dad.. Hmm.. Hafta think properly.. Or I mite not go at all.. Haha..
